I first visited this restaurant after it was recommended by the hotel staff. The food was excellent, which is why I’ve come back several times. During my previous visits, the staff were always kind and welcoming, so I had a very positive impression of the place. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very different and honestly quite shocking. I clearly felt that I was treated differently because I am a foreigner. When I was seated, I was given a “foreigner menu,” which was thrown onto the table in a very careless way. Meanwhile, most of the other customers around me were Korean, and I noticed the staff giving them extra dishes while saying “this is service.” It felt very intentional, as if they wanted to make sure I noticed that I was not receiving the same treatment. If I had behaved poorly or caused any inconvenience, I would understand being treated differently. However, I was quiet, respectful, and followed the usual dining etiquette. I even paid the exact amount in cash. If the restaurant does not welcome foreign customers, it would be more honest to simply state that. The food itself is very good, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Sadly, it left me with a very unpleasant feeling.
