A neighborhood favorite I’ve been visiting for over 20 years. It’s one of those spots that just never disappoints. Still my go-to place in the area, and it always feels a bit like coming home.
It feels like stepping into a scene from a late-night drama when you visit Saebyeokjip in Cheongdam. Open 24 hours, this place is a true lifesaver whether you come for a hearty lunch or after a long night out. At lunchtime, the Galbitang (beef short rib soup) and Yukhoe Bibimbap (beef tartare rice bowl) are outstanding, rich in flavor and deeply satisfying. Late at night, it turns into the perfect spot to enjoy premium Korean beef with drinks and friends. We ordered Anchangsal (outside skirt) and Galbisal (short rib meat) and both were exceptional – juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The beef quality is absolutely top-tier, and yes, the price is on the high end, but you can taste why. One tip: there are also off-menu cuts available, so don’t hesitate to ask the staff when you order. Compared to other BBQ restaurants, the meat here doesn’t feel greasy or heavy, leaving only a clean aftertaste that makes you want to come back. If you’re looking for the best Korean beef experience in Seoul, Saebyeokjip is the kind of place you can always trust – anytime, day or night.
We heard that we can meet some Korean celebrities there so come to giving a shot. Obviously we didn’t meet any but at least we know it’s somewhere the locals will go. The lady serving us is very nice. The Korean beef is very tasty - it’s not extremely oily but soft enough to melt in your mouth. It’s nice in Korea that the staff will help you do the grill and there are plenty of small dishes to fill your stomach. Very spacious too. You won’t get smoky after the meal.
