In-city duty-free shops (Lotte, Shinsegae, Shilla) let you purchase cosmetics, fashion, and electronics at pre-tax prices by showing your passport and flight details — you collect items at Incheon Airport's departure lounge before boarding. Prices are typically 10–20% lower than regular retail. Airport duty-free is immediate: pay and take away. Popular items include Korean beauty brands (COSRX, Purito, Dr. G), luxury handbags, and electronics. Duty-free is ideal if you're shopping heavy on cosmetics or luxury goods. Note: not all items qualify — alcohol, for example, is duty-free at the airport but has restrictions in in-city shops.
