Overview
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Convergence Science Education Center serves as the center for science education in Seoul, providing students with science exploration experiences to increase their interest and enthusiasm for science, supporting teachers in enhancing their expertise by providing various materials necessary for training and teaching, and offering science experiential learning opportunities for the general public. The Convergence Science Education Institute consists of the main campus, Namsan branch, Dong branch, and South branch. Here, the Southern Branch is responsible for ecological experience and science inquiry education for kindergartens and elementary and secondary school students in southern Seoul, gifted education in math and science, and various teacher training programs to support school classes. It consists of early childhood science play classes, a natural history exhibition room, chemistry room, life science room, earth science room, physics room, elementary and middle school invention classes, and a nature observation center. Additionally, the center offers various science programs such as early childhood science play classes, science creativity classes, Saturday family ecological environment classes, and special programs.
