Overview
Seoul Color Park is a citizens' park (about 9,000㎡) created around color, located in the space beneath the Mapo Bridge pier and the riverbank. To improve Seoul's color environment and shape a unique urban image, the Seoul Color developed and applied to public spaces has created the Seoul Color Park, providing visitors to the Han River with both a resting space and opportunities for everyday design experiences. The Seoul Color Park features sculptures representing the waves of the Han River, barcode graphics using Seoul's 10 representative colors, and benches. Public facilities are integrated into the streets to look pleasant, applying dark gray tiles and gray stone walls, and for areas that must be visible from the street, colors such as dancheong red, flower gall ochre, and Namsan green are applied to systematically improve the image of the streetscape. Additionally, sculptures and artworks using Seoul colors are installed at the Seoul Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of History.
