Overview
Park Yeo-sook, founder of Park Yeo-sook Gallery, has established itself as a gallery that nurtures young and talented Korean artists and introduces international masters to Korea. At the time of its founding, Park Yeo-sook was in her late twenties, and she moved away from exhibitions focused solely on well-established works, focusing instead on discovering talented artists. In particular, he worked to popularize his collection in the 1980s Korean art market, which was barren for contemporary art, supporting Korean Dansaekhwa artists and introducing them overseas. Since the 1993 LA Art Fair in the United States, he has consistently participated in world-renowned art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Basel Hong Kong, and Cologne, dedicating himself to introducing Korean artists abroad.
