Overview
The Colonial History Museum is the first specialized history museum from the Japanese colonial period that records and exhibits the history of Japanese imperialist invasion, the crimes of collaborators who collaborated, and the glorious history of the anti-Japanese struggle. This precious historical and cultural space was established thanks to donations and materials from numerous citizens, including overseas Koreans. This building has a total of five floors: the first floor houses exhibitions, a museum shop, and an event hall, while the second floor is a place where you can watch documentary videos and experience colonial life. The third floor is used for the Institute for Research in Collaborationist Activities, the fourth floor as a resource room, and the fifth floor as a lecture room. Additionally, on the rooftop, there is an observation deck with views of Namsan and Yongsan, as well as a rest area where visitors can take a short break.
