Overview
Our Old Stone Museum is a space for communication where tradition and modernity coexist. It is a specialized stone museum that gathers Korean stone artifacts scattered both domestically and internationally in one place, exhibiting a variety of stone sculptures including repatriates from Japan, scholar stones, generals' stones, child jaseok, buck stones, stone pagodas, and Buddha statues. In addition to stone artifacts, it also introduces contemporary artworks by emerging domestic and international artists, including paintings, sculptures, media art, and immersive exhibitions, providing a diverse cultural experience. Traditionally, stone sculptures have been regarded as temple ornaments or tombstone objects, not mere sculptures, but as cultural heritage embodying the philosophy and wisdom of ancestors, and the focus is on re-examining them from contemporary perspectives.
