Overview

Gyeongui Line Book Street is a book-themed street created on the former Gyeongui Line site of the Hongdae complex station, aiming to revive the book street culture of the late 18th century during King Jeongjo's reign, which aimed to promote civil governance through books, in a modern sense, and to provide citizens with a complex cultural space through books. The Gyeongui Line Book Street was completed in October 2016 with the hope that citizens visiting the Gyeongui Line Book Street will share the wisdom of healthy living, realize dreams, and enhance the added value of Mapo's publishing industry through the great value of a single book.
