Overview
Gwangnaru Hangang Park, located between Gangdong Bridge and Jamsil Railway Bridge, is a park that best preserves the natural appearance of the Han River, featuring sandbanks and large reed beds formed by sediment deposited from the upper reaches of the Han River. As Seoul's only water source protection zone, boating, various water activities, and leisure activities are prohibited, resulting in clear and clean water. The lush green forests of Achasan to the north and the 2 km stretch of reed fields along the Han River riverside harmonize beautifully, creating a beautiful landscape. Additionally, Gwangnaru Hangang Park is also a habitat for migratory birds. Nearby, many cultural heritage sites such as the Amsa Zen Temple residence are scattered throughout, making it a place where nature and culture harmonize well.
