Overview
Located on the Wolgok campus of Dongduk Women's University, this museum offers a glimpse into women's jewelry and daily life in the late Joseon period, as well as the history of the school's establishment and development. Established in 1977, the exhibition space of the Dongduk Women's University Museum consists of two permanent exhibition halls showcasing artifacts from Joseon women's history and the university's history, as well as a modern art gallery and donation room focused on modern and contemporary artworks. Additionally, the storage facility, equipped with specialized artifact facilities, safely preserves and manages many artifacts and artworks. The Women's Studies Museum displays representative women's jewelry, clothing, sewing materials, and various household items from the Joseon Dynasty, while the Chungang Memorial Hall offers information about Dongdeok Academy, which celebrates its 115th anniversary, as well as information about its founder, Cho Dong-sik.
