Overview
The Dongdaemun Library of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education opened in March 1971 and is a public library affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, holding over 250,000 items. It offers various programs to provide local residents with knowledge and information and promote self-realization, offering opportunities for self-development. In 1996, an electronic information archive was established, and from July 1997, all collections were available for loan. It has a total of 510 seats, including Comprehensive Materials Room 1 and Room 2, Children's Room, Audiovisual Room, Lecture Room, and Self-Study Room. You can find and use materials immediately in each room, and both loan and reservation are available. Additionally, the city offers a nighttime reservation loan service, where visitors visit the library at night to retrieve materials.
