Overview
Located in Songdo, Incheon Startup Park is the first of its kind in Korea, primarily developed by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It is a startup hub where entrepreneurs, investors, universities, and research institutions can network in an open space through public-private collaboration. It consists of a demonstration tower where public-led startups and ventures exchange ideas; a global tower that provides programs from related companies and institutions dedicated to fostering private-led innovative ideas; and a finance tower for attracting startup investment. On the basement level, three towers are connected underground with startup amenities such as convenience stores, coffee shops, and gyms. In 2009, it was used as a venue for the Incheon World Urban Festival as a space promoting cutting-edge ubiquitous technology and the future of Incheon, giving the building a unique and beautiful exterior. Incheon Startup Park also serves as a transfer center for subways, buses, and taxis, and is growing into a mecca for the startup venture ecosystem of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority.
