Overview
Introduction It is the largest tanggan jiju in Korea, made using a massive single stone. Currently, the lower part is buried, so the structure of the lower part, such as the foundation stone (kidaeseok) where the main gate was erected, cannot be determined. The four sides are unadorned, and the lower part retains the miscellaneous line carvings created during stone carving. And the inner and outer aspects facing each other are aligned vertically, Both sides are vertical to the top, but at the top end, the head gradually rounds off from both sides to form a curve; the top is pointed, but the southern tip of the support is slightly damaged. Description of the Tourist Attractions The Gulsansa Temple Dangganji was designated a treasure on January 21, 1963, and is a relic of Gulgeonsa Temple, which was founded by Beomil Guksa. Its height is 5.4 meters. The liver that fixes the main liver is located in two places: the upper part has a round hole near the top to install the liver, while the lower part has a hole about one-third of the way to insert the liver. Its massive scale and its modest yet tough approach draw attention. It offers a glimpse of the grand sculptural beauty befitting works of the Unified Silla period. Travel Tips The gulsansa temple branch is located on flat land surrounded by rice fields near Haksan-ri village, Gujeong-myeon. You might wonder if this is the right place when you use navigation. If you walk a little further, you'll find a sign for Treasure No. 86, the Dangganjiju of Gulsansaji. When you arrive ahead, you'll be amazed by its sheer scale. Not only is it tall, but the thickness of the tanggan pillars is especially thick and large, overwhelming its magnificent beauty.
