Overview

Alternative Space Loop is a non-profit gallery that provides exhibition spaces and supports all aspects related to exhibitions for promising young artists. Loop began in 1999 in Hongdae as Korea's first alternative space, and in 2019, marking its 20th anniversary, it was relaunched as a non-profit cultural and arts corporation. Aiming for solidarity and sharing, it is a place where domestic and international artists exchange diverse trends of contemporary international art with citizens, and it operates as a public and communal art organization shared by all, not just a few possessions. Since its opening, it has held several exhibitions and performances annually and has engaged in a variety of international exchange activities.
