Overview
The Yangcheon Cultural Center was established on February 28, 1997, with the purpose of developing the local community and promoting culture, bringing together the interests of cultural artists, educators, local historians, businesspeople, and others from all walks of life living in Yangcheon. As a special corporation composed entirely of civilians, it works to preserve and create local culture and improve the quality of life for residents. The school offers and operates courses aimed at improving residents' cultural and artistic perception, skills, and appreciation abilities, fostering sound emotions, mental and physical training, and enhancing cultural literacy. Additionally, it hosts local festivals and various events such as the Yangcheon Literary Festival and the Jeongwol Daeboreum Folk Festival, and carries out programs to discover and support artists.
