Overview
The Unam Dr. Syngman Rhee statue is located within Paichai High School and was erected to honor Dr. Rhee's achievements in the independence movement. Built in 1984, it stands 3 meters high and 1 meter wide. Unam Rhee, who had studied classical Chinese studies since childhood, entered Paichai Academy, the predecessor of Paichai High School where the statue now stands, where the statue now stands, where he learned new scholarship, led reform movements in the Enlightenment era media and the Independence Club, and served time in prison. After his release, he went to the United States, earned his doctorate, and engaged in diplomacy, ethnic education, and promotional activities abroad for the liberation of his homeland. After liberation, he served as the first president of the Republic of Korea in 1948 with the establishment of the government of the Republic of Korea.
