Overview

Pureun Arboretum is Seoul's first municipal arboretum, created by transforming an uninhabited empty lot into an eco-friendly space. In 2018, it was designated as Seoul's first public arboretum and collects, propagates, and preserves various plant genetic resources. Located near Hangdong Reservoir, the arboretum features 20 themed gardens, including a five-color garden, a wildflower garden, and a children's garden. Through ecological education and gardening programs operated by information centers and forest education centers, it serves as a place for learning in nature.
