Overview
Lightroom Seoul, located in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, is located just 15 minutes from Gangnam and is a healing space in the city where you can enjoy views of both the Han River and green spaces. Lightroom Seoul, built as the same exhibition hall as Lightroom London, which launched earlier this year measuring 18.5m wide, 26m tall, and 12m high, is an immersive exhibition space that vividly recreates diverse exhibition content. As the opening exhibition, it presents an immersive exhibition by British pop art master David Hockney <David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)> which opened this year at the Lightroom in London, UK. This is the second time it will be presented worldwide after its opening in February this year, and it has already received praise from numerous media outlets for its high artistic quality and beautiful visuals. This approximately 50-minute exhibition reimagines David Hockney's artistic world over the past 60 years through painting, photography, and video, curated together with audio, creating the most beautiful and highly refined immersive exhibition. Unlike traditional media art exhibitions that reconstruct the images of classical artists, it features a living artist who recreates their own artistic world. It holds special significance in that they participated directly for three years from the planning stage to best showcase it.
