Overview
The Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall was opened in June 2000 to widely publicize, inherit, and develop the life and ideas of Baekbeom Kim Gu (1876~1949), a great teacher who devoted his life to building an autonomous, democratic, and unified homeland with the most beautiful and refined culture in the world. As a museum specializing in modern and contemporary history, the Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall is a cultural living space for the entire community, where visitors can understand the history of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and Korea's modern and contemporary era through Kim Gu's life and thought, aiming for national independence, democracy, and unification, and developing the beautiful culture of the nation. On the first and second floors of the memorial hall, various records and materials related to Kim Gu's life and modern Korean history are exhibited, and it is equipped with specialized resource rooms, educational rooms, a large conference room, and a convention hall that can be used for various educational programs and cultural events.
