Overview
Jeongamsa Temple is located within Bulamsan Mountain, on the border between Nowon-gu, Seoul and Byeollae-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism. Jeongamsa is listed as having Joseon-era cultural heritage materials such as Seoul Tangible Cultural Property No. 54, Amitabhadendo, and No. 322, the Yenyeommita Doryangchambeop, but for various reasons, they are currently managed by the Cultural Heritage Management Agency. Unlike other temples, it does not have a Iljumun gate. Centered around the main hall, Bulamsan Mountain faces you to the left, Dobongsan Jaunbong to the right, and from the front, you can overlook downtown Nowon-gu. The Yongwangdang, a shrine dedicated to the dragon god who governs rain and water, houses the Medicine Buddha Buddha and has a drinking water area. If you climb the mountain path behind the main hall, you'll find the mountain shrine and Gwaneum Hall inside the rounded cave. It is located on the Bulamsan hiking trail and can be visited during the climb.
