Overview
Since its opening in 1979, Hanyang University Museum has continuously excavated, collected, preserved, and researched valuable cultural heritage. Since 2003, it has held special exhibitions annually, conducted various cultural experiences, lectures, and museum education projects, fulfilling its role beyond the university campus as a cultural platform for the local community and a complex cultural and arts space. Although the building spans from the 1st to the 5th floor, the actual exhibition space starts from the 2nd floor. On the second floor, you can see the past and present of various electronic devices. On the third floor, there is a special exhibition hall of about 100 pyeong (approximately 100 pyeong) where special exhibitions on various themes are held. The fourth floor, the Ceramics, Calligraphy, and Folk Traditions Room, carefully selects representative ceramics, calligraphy, and folk artifacts from the collection, and is designed to help readers understand the lives and culture of contemporary people through dazzling and delicate craftsmanship, as well as various calligraphy and everyday tools. Finally, the fifth-floor Archaeology and History Room introduces various relics and artifacts investigated by Hanyang University Museum since the excavation of the Misari prehistoric site in 1979.
