Overview
Gwangjin Cultural Center in Gwangjin-gu, established in 1996, plays a role in inheriting and developing local culture. It is engaged in various activities to promote Gwangjin-gu's culture, including hosting local cultural events, conducting cultural and arts lectures, discovering local historical materials, and operating a traditional Korean music art troupe. Additionally, to promote cross-generational and social gatherings, facilitate meetings and smooth communication among local residents, and revitalize local cultural education, the school operates over 300 cultural and arts courses and supports various club activities. At the Gwangjin Cultural Center, the Gwangjin District Traditional Korean Traditional Music Arts Troupe is operated, with a total of 30 members active in samulnori troupes, children's gayageum, and children's Nanta. The Gwangjin Cultural Center is about 330 meters from Exit 1 of Gangbyeon Station on Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 2.
