Overview
Gungdong Reservoir Ecological Park was established to improve the poor environment of the old Gungdong Reservoir and to create an eco-friendly space, providing a resting area for residents of Guro-gu. This place is ideal for strolling, featuring ecological trails, walking trails, traditional Korean pavilions, rest areas, and sports facilities, and is home to over 25,000 various flowers and trees. There are also spaces for observing plants and animals, as well as a children's playground. The ecological pond boasts a rare beautiful scenery and ecological environment in Seoul, with about 100 silk carp swimming in the reservoir. Gungdong Reservoir Ecological Park is a place where azaleas bloom in spring, lotus flowers in summer, reeds in autumn, and the frozen reservoir scenery in winter, all year round. Since the Jeongseon Princess Cemetery is adjacent to this place, it's also good to visit them together.
