Overview
Gangseo Historical and Cultural Street is located in the Gayang-dong area, where various historical and cultural sites are scattered, and it has transformed the area's deteriorating landscape into a street full of historical and cultural charm. The Gungsan area in Gayang-dong is the administrative center of Yangcheon Hyeona during the Joseon Dynasty, so many historical and cultural heritage sites remain throughout the area. A symbolic sculpture is erected at the entrance of Yangcheon-ro 47-gil, which continues from Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station on Line 9 and continues from Magok District, marking the beginning of Gangseo Historical and Cultural Street. The pillar-shaped information board contains text introducing the site and its location, making it easy for anyone to find the site. The Gangseo Historical and Cultural Street, which connects Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum, Gungsan Tunnel, Soakru, Yangcheon Old Sacred Site, and Yangcheon Hyanggyo, is a slow walk of about an hour. As the sun sets, unlike its daytime appearance, the historic and cultural street is illuminated with beautiful lights, creating a line of illuminated sculptures.
