Overview
Gallery Seorim is located on Hakdong-ro in Gangnam-gu. It is a commercial art exhibition and sales hall first opened in 1984 by poet Kim Seong-ok as Seorim Gallery in Insadong. Kim Seong-ok, the representative poet of Seorim Gallery, played a key role in organizing the Cheongdam Art Festival in 1991, during the Insadong era with Park Yeosuk Gallery in Gangnam, which was then a barren cultural area, contributing to the cultural and artistic character of the Cheongdam-dong area in Gangnam-gu. In April 2008, the gallery was relocated from Insadong to Cheongdam-dong, and the gallery was renamed Gallery Seorim. Even now, by exhibiting works by various artists, it offers opportunities to experience diverse forms of art.
