Overview
It is adjacent to Jumunjin Beach in Gangneung. The sandy beach is oval-shaped, 500 meters long, and covers an area of 35,000㎡. The entire village is named Sodol because it resembles a cow lying down, and the surrounding area is covered with strange rock formations, with a rock resembling an ox in the sea. The oval beach has white sand and gentle slopes, with shallow waters suitable for clam fishing. Amenities such as restrooms, changing rooms, and showers are available, and camping is possible in the 1,650㎡ pine forest. Nearby are Jumunjin Port, Uamjin Port, and Orijin Port, where you can buy fresh seafood at affordable prices, and you can also rent boats to enjoy flounder fishing. It operates as a beach every year from July 15 to August 20.
