Overview
Baegun Park is the place where Han Ha-un's poet poet is located. Known as a poet of Hansen's disease, Han Ha-un lived an unfortunate life but never lost hope in life and is known for beautifully transforming it. About 600 leprosy patients from the Seryu-dong leprosy settlement in Suwon settled in Bupyeong, marking the beginning of Han Ha-un's connection with Incheon. There, he established Seonggyewon to support the self-sufficiency of lepers. He also wrote the lyrics for Geum Soo-hyun's art song 'Bluebird,' expressing his heartfelt desire to escape Hansen's disease and live a free life. Although he lived a life of constant neglect, after being diagnosed negative for leprosy in 1960 and leaving Seonggyewon, he continued serving lepers until his death at his home in Sipjeong-dong at the age of 56. Inside the park in his honor, there are also soccer and tennis courts. Today, it is loved as a park that every Bupyeong resident can easily visit.
