Overview
Daemosan Mountain, located in Gangnam-gu, is a low mountain with a height of 293 meters, also known as Guksubong. The mountain was called Halmi Mountain because its shape resembled an old old almi, and after enshrineing King Taejong's Heonneung, it was renamed Daemosan by imperial decree. At the mountain entrance, there is a nature learning center cultivated with various rare trees, beloved as an outdoor training area for children and a walking trail for residents. The Daemosan trail consists of ridge paths and dulle-gil trails that follow the ridge, and the trail is close to its natural state. The stone tower and observatory built over 20 years are also famous attractions. In particular, in 2021, a lowered trail trail was created, allowing people who usually find hiking difficult—such as people with disabilities, the elderly, and pregnant women—to use the forest trail safely.
