Overview
It is a plaza with a nature-friendly ecological environment created on Sejong-ro, where Cheonggyecheon begins in Jung-gu, Seoul. It offers a variety of attractions and is easily accessible, making it a popular tourist spot in Seoul for both citizens and foreign visitors. There are candle fountains with three-color lights, water streams that drop 4 meters below the two-tiered waterfall, and 'Palseokdam' (Eight Stone Walls) made from eight stones sourced from across the country are laid on both sides of the waterfall. At night, the square lights and water blend into a magical scene, attracting many visitors even after night. A miniature of the entire Cheonggyecheon section reduced to 1/100 is also a highlight, and it hosts a variety of citizen cultural events and festivals throughout the year.
