Overview
Bulamsan (508m) is a mountain that rises on the boundary between Nowon-gu, Seoul, and Byeollae-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and is adjacent to Suraksan Mountain across Deokneung Pass. Although it is the lowest among the five mountains located on the border of Seoul, its summit is entirely rocky, offering magnificent views. The mountain was named Bulam Mountain because its shape resembles the image of the Buddha wearing the Songnak script, and it is also known as Cheonbosan or Pilamsan. Bulamsan is made of sandstone, so the trees are not dense, but its long ridges offer refreshing views. In spring, the azaleas bloom in full bloom, evoking the image of a flower garden. Bulamsan, along with Bukhansan, Dobongsan, and Gwanaksan, is a mountain near Seoul and attracts many hikers due to its convenient transportation.
