Overview
Bugak Sky Octagonal Pavilion is a hanok-style pavilion on Bugaksan Mountain at an altitude of 342 meters, preserving traditional Korean beauty, and is a tourist attraction in downtown Seoul with pristine location. Opened in September 1968, Bugak Skyway is a well-known driving route leading up to Bugak Octagonal Pavilion, and the tourist road stretching northeast along the ridge of Bugaksan Mountain, Seoul's main mountain, stretches about 19 km in length. From Bukak Octagonal Pavilion, the mountain range connecting Bukhansan Bibong and Munsubong creates a spectacular view, while on the other side, you can see the beautiful scenery of Seoul sitting facing Namsan. Along the entire route, well-maintained street trees and about 100,000 ornamental trees bloom in season, allowing visitors to enjoy panoramic views of Seoul along the Namsan ring road. About halfway along the trail, there is a rest area where you can pause at the ridge summit to rediscover the true scenery of Seoul and take a break. It serves as a tourist course that showcases the city at a glance for both domestic and foreign visitors coming from afar.
