Overview
The name referring to the summit of Bukaksan Mountain. Although it is not particularly high at 342 meters above sea level, it stands out as a towering peak in the area, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of downtown Seoul, embracing Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Blue House all at once. When Hanyang Fortress was first built in 1936, a total of 97 construction sections were divided, each named after the Thousand Character Classic. At that time, Baekakmaru was the starting point of the fortress, so it corresponded to the 'Thousand' section. As the highest point in Hanyangdoseong, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the long stretch stretching between Baegaksan and Inwangsan, and enjoy a special moment of admiring each peak of Bukhansan from Jokduribong to Hyangnobong, Bibong, Seunggabong, Munsubong, and Hyeongjebong in that order.
