On a scorching hot day with errands in Jongno, the craving for a daytime highball was irresistible. I found Oreno Yaki, a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant where you can drink from lunchtime onward.

Located 388m from Jonggak Station Exit 2, it's open daily 11:10-21:30 (break time 15:10-17:00, last order 14:10/20:30). The sleek orange exterior stands out even in the back alley.

Pro tip: Oreno Yaki runs a Naver receipt review event — participate and get a FREE Asahi draft beer or highball! For those craving alcohol, this is an incredible deal.
