My first sourdough experience at Sosimdang in Hwagok, Seoul
After my first meal in Hwagok, I felt it was a shame to just leave, so I looked for a nearby bakery.
I'd recently learned about sourdough and wanted to try it.

So I decided to walk there.
Sosimdang
102 Daonville, 32 Hwagok-ro 23-gil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul
Hours: Tue-Sat 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
I opened Naver Map and followed it diligently until I saw this sign.
Oh! So I didn't need to bother following Naver Map around here, so I just walked.
I really appreciate the signage.
This area is just a quiet residential complex, so I was like, "Am I in the right place?" as I walked in, haha.
A little further in, it's right there.
There's no sign, so I wandered around a bit, haha.
There's no other bakery, so you don't have to worry about getting lost. Just walk in confidently.
Sosimdang's name is said to be based on the concept of "making bread with a timid yet delicate heart."
As soon as I walked in, the unique, nutty, and light aroma of rye bread filled the air.
I could also see some hard breads that looked like sourdough, which I was craving.

I tasted samples and ordered after seeing them in person.
The owner then cut the bread for me.
I ordered the sourdough baguette, cheese sourdough, and tomato cheese fougasse, which I wanted.
It cost about 16...
