My first Shindang tteokbokki experience at Mabokrim Tteokbokki in Shindang, Seoul.
#MyMoneyMyPurchaseReview
I finally came to eat Shindang Tteokbokki.
Strangely, I'd never had a chance to come here before, but since I was nearby, I decided to walk there.
There really is a Tteokbokki Street.
It's smaller than I thought.
Without further ado, today's stop is "Mabokrim Tteokbokki." Shindangdong's original restaurant, a place even my daughter-in-law doesn't know about.
Now my daughter-in-law knows too... I'm so glad, lol
Set for 2: 2 rice cakes + 1 fish cake + 1 ramen + 1 chewy noodles + 2 dumplings (17,000 won)
Set for 3: 3 rice cakes + 1 fish cake + 1 ramen + 1 chewy noodles + 3 dumplings (20,000 won)
Set for 4: 4 rice cakes + 1 fish cake + 2 ramen + 2 chewy noodles + 4 dumplings (27,000 won)
Ordering a set based on the number of people seems the easiest.
They also have extra menus, so you can add whatever you like.
I ordered the set for 2.
They gave me this much ramen and chewy noodles!
I was surprised by how much they served.
They gave me three cups for only 2 people, and I was like, "What's this?" But they said to use one to drain the danmuji (pickled radish) lol
They served the danmuji like this, so I couldn't eat more even if I wanted to. (Unless you're going to eat the whole thing...)
Here's a tip!
I recommend getting one from the start to get more.
Since you'll probably eat a lot of danmuji the first time, if you start with one of each, you'll be able to finish everything.
Watching them boil seems to be the most patience-demanding part....
