Falling in Love with the Perfect Grill Service at Imgeum Dwaeji, Jamsil

As the weather starts to cool down, it's the perfect time to go out for a grilled pork lunch. Today I visited "Imgeum Dwaeji" (meaning "Royal Pig") in Jamsil, Songpa-gu.
The restaurant is located just a 6-minute walk (360m) from Seokchon Station Exit 8. It's open daily from 12:00 to 23:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 16:00 (no break on weekends). Reservations are available via Catch Table and Naver.
The interior features a clean white design with gold lettering — very eye-catching. Each table has its own personal locker for storing coats and bags so they don't absorb the grill smoke. Very thoughtful!
Imgeum Dwaeji exclusively uses YBD-breed pork — a cross between Yorkshire, Berkshire, and Duroc pigs. This breed makes up only about 2% of total pork production, prized for its exceptional flavor and tenderness over productivity.
When you arrive with a reservation, a welcome letter on your table describes the aging details of the meat you'll be eating. The table is beautifully set with various dipping sauces: squid jeotgal, mentaiko (cod roe), wasabi, hairtail jeotgal, and sea salt.
