A Harry Potter Fan's Visit to 943 King's Cross Wizard Cafe in Hongdae

Since I was already in Hongdae, I decided to visit one of the area's most famous themed cafes — 943 King's Cross, a must-visit for Harry Potter fans. Located 487m from Hongdae Station Exit 9, it's open Monday-Thursday 11:30-21:30 and Friday-Sunday 10:00-21:30.

The exterior is absolutely captivating — especially the massive broomstick mounted on the side of the building! It instantly builds excitement. The cafe spans from B1 to the 4th floor, with each level featuring a different wizarding concept.

Stepping inside, I was immediately drawn to the wall of magic wands — reminiscent of Ollivanders at Universal Studios Osaka! The lobby exceeded my expectations with meticulously themed decorations and objects everywhere.

B1 is the Wizard's Hut — dark and atmospheric (and the coolest floor on a hot day). The 2nd floor houses the Wizard Cafe. The 3rd floor is the Banquet Hall with a long central table that feels like a mini version of Hogwarts' Great Hall. The 4th floor is the Dormitory, bright and spacious with Hogwarts uniforms you can try on.
